Here in the country, we can find relaxation walking down a gravel road. We went for 6 kilometres that day - it sure doesn't seem that far when there is so much going on around us!
What's that? Pardon? I didn't hear you.....Oh!! Of course I took the camera.....
Last year, a strong wind (aka tornado?) came through our area and destroyed many, many trees like this one.
They now stand as reminders of 'the wind of 2012' and will one day become firewood.
I love walking along and discovering new things you might never have seen before. There is one fallen tree with a huge beautiful root system on it, and the large rocks that once covered them on the ground has now become quite 'artsy' in its look.
I'll get a photo next time I head out for a stroll!
One of our dogs splashing through the water.
They couldn't wait to jump in and experience that ice cold madness!
The snow was deep and wet when we went out, and animals that are heavier have trouble staying on top of the snow. The dogs always sunk.
It was so fun to watch them all play together in the sunshine. It had been awhile since we saw weather like last weekend brought!
Of course you would - but I took a quick photo anyway.
The grass is started to green up in this photo too - a sure sign that all is well with the world and summer is definitely on the way!
I spent the rest of the weekend cleaning the yard and my flower beds.
It was blissful.
....and two days later, this happened.
So although we won't be going for one of our 6 km walks today (or tomorrow), it will be soon. Mother nature always comes through and renewal can still be seen through all that white stuff that still falls from the sky as I type this.
I hear warm weather is on the way so I am remaining hopeful.
Until then, we will do the best we can with what we have where we are.
