Facing Fears & The Stratosphere

I have a friend - we'll call him John. We'll call him that because that is actually his name.

John Tait is a friend of mine from way back and he has always been....daring. He loves bungee jumping and skydiving - and although we watch, most of us probably live vicariously through him cringe when he takes that first step off the platform.

Bungee jumping - skydiving. Up in the air stuff. Heights.

I froze ice cube solid scared trying to get onto the roof of our house once. I'm staying on the ground.

John faces life head on, stares it down and kicks it square in the places it needs kicking. Admittedly, this is an admirable trait and John really follows through and does what he says he is going to do.
So when I heard John was headed to Las Vegas, I thought, 'Wow - have a great trip!'

When I heard John was planning to jump off of the Stratosphere on June 1st, 2013 - I admit my guts flipped over just thinking about it. I was curious!

108 stories. 232 meters. 855 feet. DOWN.

I am grateful for one thing - he videotaped his adventure and shared it with all of us.

10 seconds to the ground from 108 stories in the sky......

Ohhhhh just watch for yourself - what a rush!

Fun, right?

Need more?

I thought so.....

John was recently featured in The 'Go Nanaimo' blog.

What does ANY of this have to do with wellness?

Imagine the freedom......
