Dream it and then do it as I say.
So, a daily dish is again on the intention menu - welcome back, Shawn. Why thank you......
As for my actual daily life, things keep getting better and better!
We anxiously await spring and all it encompasses - there has been a slight glitch as the snow doesn't want to seem to stop falling. The people around me are getting restless because we are usually out cleaning our yards by this time.
I have heard legend of blooming greenhouses in the area - waiting to spring (get it?) forth their colorful glories and enrich our grey, snow blown lives. I have really started enjoying spending time in the garden and creating floral areas in the yard.
Someone I know once said to me, 'If you can't eat it, don't plant it.' I understand the work involved but there's nothing like bringing life and color to areas of your home and yard that you can't....or wouldn't want to eat. I always plant something I can't eat.
The winter always starts to get to people if it goes on too long. The sun is really missed around here as the days are gloomy and often cold. Someone said to me the other day that at this time last year, we were outside without our jackets on. Currently, it is snowing and has been all night. As it is
I believe this is the first time I can remember that groundhog being wrong though. Next year no one is going to believe him.
So, as I put on my winter boots to go outside for a walk each day, I am grateful that I can. I pay very little attention to the weather unless I have to be in it. A positive outlook and awareness is what it takes. Heck, I can occupy myself until I can get outside and clean the yard, plant my garden or mow my lawn. I have to first be able to see my lawn - and since I can't, a nice hot cup of cacao and a snuggly blanket will tide me over until I can.
The winter months are reflective, 'inward' months for me - where I take time to reflect on the year that has passed, collect my lessons with gratitude and set my intentions for the next while. I have had an interesting year, so a little extra time before spring hits isn't a terrible thing either.
It gets here when it gets here as my elders say. Until then, we use the time we have to do what we can where we are....in all of this snow.
Snow, spring puddles, summer rain - we'll manage through all of that - it is the attitude that matters.
Get your winter boots on - it's time to go for a walk!
